romantic visual art

how can a peice of art be considered as romanticism? well first of all there is always going to be a peice of art that shows romanticism, at least that is what i think anyway. Romanticism is based on imagination and thought. so by looking at a certain peice of art can make people use there imagination by making the picture out to be what they want to make it out to be as far as what their fantasy is. Some pieces of art are not always clear so therefore you dont really know what your looking at. but, the artist will know because of course they painted it but they also used THEIR imagination. and sometimes it takes your imagination to make out a certain peice of art. for instance this peiece of art that i've downloaded can be an example of romaticism because you can use your imagination to make out the purpose of the picture. So yes, i a piece of art can be part of romanticism if you use your imagination.

the rope walk

this peom, which is called the rope walk, has gave the impression of someone who has a deep imagination. so the point of the poem is that by using your imagination helps you relax and pretty much accomplish anything that you want to accomplish no matter what it may be. just like the saying of 'you can do what ever you want to if you put your mind to it", is exactly
what the romanticism believed in. doing everything with the thought
of imagination and dignity would get you a long way in the world of the romanticism's. in the this particular poem this guy used his imagination of a rope, which pretty much accompanied everything that he imagined.so the rope was the key to success in his imagination. it could have also been the key to success in real life if he really had wanted it to be. so basically the poem is saying that once you use more of your imagination, you could go pretty far in life. eventhough things may not be as peachy as you want them to be,that dosent mean its the end of the world. so putting your
imagination to work could really make you a successful person.

the Romanticisms

while reading the story of rip van winkle i realized that this story did reflect romanticism. rip van winkle was a simple, good natured fellow who did everything to the best of his knowledeg to persue success. poeple in his neighborhood looked up to van winkle because he was always trying his best to help his neighbors the best way he knew how. he insisted on helping his neighbors with their family needs and went about doing it in a very critical way. He would play with the children and go hunting for food for the families of the village they he lived in. while hunting for the food, he would play with the children at the same time. eventhough rip may have been up for days and not eaten hiself, he would still go out and gather enough food for the wives of the households. he would sit on wet rock while fishing all day without be encouraged by a single nibble. that shows rip had the mind of a romantic by helping other the best way he knew how from the kindness of his heart. eventhough he wasn't so smart and intelligent he still managed to be successful by self-effieciency and considering the thoughts of others. those are some of the qualities that romantics had and also believed in. The story really helped me acknowledge the meaning of romanticism.
